Hey everyone!
Once again I'm out here is blistering cold New York. I've been taking a break from drawing any Hey Mister! comics cause frankly... I needed the break. It was a rough and tough semester and this was the first time I didn't do anything but relax...

... and prepare for our apocalyptic doom.... which...... I guess.... never happened.... ah well, back to drawing more comics!

But so that I'm not leaving you all hanging, here is the second installment of my Zombie Apocalypse board set. Enjoy!

Hey everyone,
My apologies for not getting a post up this week. Work/Freelance Work/ Life have been hectic, but i will get one posted as soon as I can.

A while back I started working for an independent comic book company called National Press Comics ( check them out at http://www.npccomics.com ). We we're in the process of creating a comic book when we got side tracked LIKE CRAZY!  Very long story but now we're moving on and determined to finish the story. I just finished issue #0 and I have to say, it feels good drawing pages again.

Here's a preview of our banner still in progress.

Notice something familiar? Two of the Hey Mister! characters (Leslie and Carol) were actually modeled after two of the characters from this book (Airlift and Booster). 

Hopefully we'll have issue #0 ready for the comic conventions. LOOK OUT FOR BLACKJACKS!

Hey everyone, I swear I don't understand East Coast weather. Its sunny and humid one day and all of a sudden there's thunderstorms. It really makes me appreciate California Weather.

Anyway, it's been fun out here and it looks like I'll be here for a little bit more before I head back. I finished my illustration I previously posted. Enjoy!

NY Update

Hey everyone!
I took a quick trip back home (LA) to celebrate my niece's 2nd birthday! She's so beautiful (and that's not me being biased at all!... Seriously, she is one beautiful little girl!), but I'm back out here and the weather has been a bit better [less humid]. I have realized something:

I am not a runner. Not because I don't have a passion to run, but because I don't have the ankels to run. I think throughout the years I've rolled my ankles while playing basketball/soccer/football/running/cage fighting/bear wrestling/etc. that the cartilage in my ankle finally said "Screw you, I'm done"

Maybe I need to take up a low impact exercise from now on...

New York Update 2

Hey guys!

It's been fun out here. I've been hanging out at the local coffee shops getting some work done. Here's one of the thing I've been working on. This was a sketch for a mural for a potential client that didn't happen. But I liked the sketch so much that I thought it would be fun to finish the piece. Here's what I got so far.

Tonight the girlfriend and I are going to watch The Book Of Mormon on Broadway! Can't wait! This is my first Broadway show, so why not do the show I wanted to see the most?!?!

NY Update

Hey guys I'm out here in the Big Apple living it up!

Well actually I've been at home working on lesson plans and sorts. But I'm finally updating, so I consider that a moral victory!

It is quite humid here. I've been trying to run out here and it's been somewhat successful. It definitely is not the dry Socal weather I'm used to, but oh well. That's life. We saw a dude that looked like Snoop Dogg walkin in central park with a lady. My girlfriend and i were staring right at him as we walked away. I swear he really looked like Snoop D-O- Double G. I don't think it was him though.

I'm gonna leave you guys with this. Part 2 of my Queens of the Board Set. This time: Hearts! Enjoy!

Taking A Break

Hey guys I decided to take a break for this month and come back in July with random New York Shenanigan Updates (We will abbreviate it as "NYSU")

So instead of an Hey Mister! post, I'll put up some art work i've done throughout the past year or two. This one is  based on a skateboard series I was working on back when. (I should really start selling these things.) Enjoy!

I haven't been able to post anything up for this week. School is coming to an end shortly and things have been busy around here. I WILL have a new Hey Mister! post up next week so hold on tight!

I'll be in NYC for the month of July frolicking around and causing not much but enough mischief. So if you're in NYC and see me, just shout "HEY MISTER!" I will turn briefly and then run the opposite direction (just kidding). Me being in NYC might mean that Hey Mister! will go on SUMMER BREAK so i might not post anything up until mid August (sorry guys.. again). But for the time being I will be working on some comics so that I'll have some cool stuff to post up.

(who knows i might just post up random stuff for July while i'm in NYC)

Hey guys sorry but I wont have anything new until after Easter. I've been swamped with work and I haven't been able to punch out new comics. But I will be back with new comics so just hold tight for a bit.
